US Consumer Q&A
What product is being recalled? The recall involves Oball Rattles sold after January 1, 2016 with one rattle chamber containing orange beads. Only rattles with date codes T0486, T1456, T2316, T2856 and T3065 located on a small triangle on the inner surface of the rattle are included in the recall.
Where can I find the date code? The date code contains a letter with a 4 digit code below it and can be found on a triangle on the inner surface of the product. Click here for an example.
Why are we recalling Oball Rattles with orange beads and a date code starting with “T”? One or more of the rattle chambers may open releasing the small beads. Small parts in the hands of small children can present a choking hazard.
Has there been any reports of a child choking on the beads? The company has received no reports of choking incidents.
Is this a US only issue or is it world-wide? The affected products are distributed in multiple countries and are being recalled in all countries to which they have been shipped.
What is the remedy for the recalled product? Consumers who purchased the product will receive a refund in the amount of $7.99.
What is the process for a refund? Consumers who register for the recall are being instructed to clip all three rattle chambers from the Oball Rattle and return the three rattle chambers to Kids II via the consumer return kit received upon completion of the online registration. It will take up to 8 weeks for your refund to be processed.
